My husband, Robert Gentry, who had the Sabine Index newspaper for 47 years, took this photo from his front row seat. It was black and white. Some commenters have mentioned  Elvis’ stage wear was white. I would imagine the digital colorization read that color as gold. Here is the original.

I was SPD at the airport. Was invited to tour his plane with his security guy that remained with the plane. Sat for a few and talked, he offered me a drink (which I declined). Flashy but not gaudy inside for the times....

I was there that night. I was also there in 74. I believe 74 and 76 were his last two in Shreveport.

I had to beg my husband Eddie to go Elaine and me and Charles went. Eddie didn’t like him, but he went and he come back a fan for the rest of his living days.  it was something about him that you will never forget the music was awesome and he put on the best show ever rest in peace Elvis. you will always be the king.

I saw him when he first started making appearances , in Galveston, Texas, he was very young then and a very handsom young man. This was in the early 1950’s. He had those fancy moves way back then. And the audience loved him.
