Pine Flat School, 1930. All photos I am certain are from Pine Flat School except for the last photo, which I just know was in Sabine Parish. Pine Flat was a close-knit African American community in Southwest Sabine Parish. The entire community was flooded as a result of the creation of Toledo Bend Lake. Many of its citizens relocated to the Florien area, specifically a community called Yellow Pine.
