Pendleton Bridge new and old... Photo from The Longview News Journal, 1968... Toledo Bend Lake was filling at the time the photo was taken. The change at the old Pendleton Bridge crossing the Sabine between Texas and Louisiana is shown. The new bridge and pathway, "straight as an arrow", replaces the old bridge and pathway shown on left, which was being dismantled when this photo was made.
