This past Sunday, we visited Denham Springs, one of the areas hit hard by the recent flooding in South Louisiana. There are no words for what we saw, what we smelled, what we felt, what we thought as we wondered how on Earth these victims will move on with their lives… I wish I could help… I don’t know what to do, except to post this three-minute video of footage we filmed … and to respectfully ask that you consider sharing it to help spread the message of devastation in areas affected, and to spread the message that help is badly needed.
There are many groups geared to collect donations and get them where they need to be… I wouldn’t know where to begin in trying to mention a worthwhile organization to donate to… Ask your church, your friends or relatives in South Louisiana, anyone you trust and they can possibly help you determine who to donate to. I do know one thing for certain… Any little bit… Each and every little bit… Will count. Whether you donate food, clothing, household items, money, or labor… Just know that your kindness will be appreciated. Even if all you have to give is a few dollars, know that a few dollars times a lot of people adds up. I can’t stress enough, help is needed.
