Removal of the Hwy. 84 bridge crossing the Sabine River between Logansport, Louisiana (DeSoto Parish) and Joaquin, Texas (Shelby County) is almost complete. The bridge was constructed in the 1930s and is being replaced by two 2-lane bridges, one carrying eastbound traffic and the other carrying westbound traffic. We took this video last week, showing progress of the bridge removal.
