It would be difficult to know for sure, but based on my three visits to the Toledo Bend Dam in the last few days, I would guess several thousand people have come from all around (most from this immediate area though many from a hundred miles give or take… I spoke to some who came from Deweyville and Orange, Texas, as well as Vinton and Lake Charles, Louisiana) to see the massive releases of water from Toledo Bend Lake. Every local we spoke with said they had never seen this much water being let out of the lake at the spillway. These photos were taken yesterday around mid morning.
