Taken on Louisiana Hwy. 8 at around 6 pm today. The Sabine River has reached well beyond its banks as in several hundred feet (my guess only) and is flooding homes and property. A military rescue helicopter flew overhead. It was a sight that evoked emotions of all sorts.. I felt helpless for these people losing so much and then to think there are some out there trapped, unable to reach dry land… Words fail.
