Photography and Ballet: Two forms of art working in symphony and in harmony. Lake Charles Ballet. Hopefully to lighten the mood a bit during the midst of all that is going on now, I’m sharing these stunning photographs of the beautiful art of ballet taken recently by a Lake Charles (hometown!) friend of mine. These photographs by Jeff Henry were my pleasant greeting to the otherwise blah morning (rain, rain go away). As I routinely scrolled through my Facebook feed the first image of the ballerina and ballerino (danseuse and danseur) instantly captured my attention.
Jeff picked up photography only about five years ago. I have watched him grow as a photographer and it has been a joy to see his evolution. For him, photography is strictly about the love of the art. He has not “gone pro”, though clearly he could. As he asserts, “that would take the fun out of it!” I understand this idea completely. He simply shoots for the love it and he shares for the joy of it… The art of photography is a gift in him and it is a gift to those of us who stop and appreciate… Keep shooting and keep sharing, Jeff.
