I have seen a significant (over 40) number of photos of the gentleman in this photograph, Festus Keelen of Zwolle, Louisiana. And in many, possibly most, of them, he is surrounded by women. I have decided based on this, that he must have been a highly sought after man. So I couldn’t resist the inclination to hone in on his face and see if his looks played a part in this. They did. What a good looking guy. I suppose it didn’t hurt that he was also very wealthy, a dapper dresser, and probably quite charming as well.
