Photograph from the Facebook post “Gravel Hill School, 1907.” — Gravel Hill School, 1907. In Vernon Parish, Louisiana, apparently in the northwest portion of the parish, close to Sabine. This copy was given by Kathy Johnson, a resident of Pitkin, La. The original picture belonged to her father, J. E. Pollard, who was a former student of the school. A copy of this photograph is also on display in the vestibule of the Gravel Hill Baptist Church. This copy was given to the Vernon Parish Library by Ed and Connie Deason in 2008.
