Sabine River receding. Though the Sabine River is still at flood stage, it is expected to dip by today's end from the heavy flooding category to moderate flooding. This is a graph released by NOAA today showing the expected drop in the river from now through Jan. 11, below Longview, Texas. Flood stage is above 25 ft. so the river still has a good bit of receding before it is below flood stage.
