Back of photo reads: “Completing the extensive recreational center at Mansfield (Parish seat, and consolidated school district center with 600 school children and 3500 population). Some 50 WPA workmen are building a 80 x 190 foot concrete swimming pool, anticipate completing it Oct. 1, 1936. Concrete sidewalks will border the pool. Water will be supplied by flowing springs in the ravine where pool is being constructed.” “60’ x 190’ reenforced concrete swimming pool in center of Mansfield’s recreational center.
