Inside of the old Fisher Opera House in Fisher, Louisiana. This opera house, along with a train depot, a Commissary Store which boasted having everything one could need from the cradle to the grave, a school, a hotel, two churches, and a host of wood frame residences of three or more different sizes and styles, were once upon a time owned by the Louisiana Long Leaf Lumber Company (4L) in this historic sawmill village.
Scores of people once took trains from many towns and communities in West Louisiana along the Kansas City Southern Railroad to watch silent movies as well as live theater at the stately Opera House.
