March 1966, Construction on the Pendleton Bridge which will cross the future Toledo Bend Reservoir. Toledo Bend was created by damming the Sabine River, which you can see in the photo running under the original Gaines Memorial Bridge (a metal truss bridge). I believe this photo was taken from Texas looking towards Louisiana. Also sharing some closeups of the first photo, to see if anyone recognizes any of the houses or roads in the photo.
