From Louisiana State Library, this photo taken at a park on Toledo Bend in the 1970s. Written on photo: “The Toledo Bend Reservoir in western Louisiana on the Texas border is the nation’s fifth largest man-made body of water, encompassing 186,000 acres. The huge lake is a sportsman’s paradise for fishing, hunting, camping and boating. There are more than 1,300 acres of public parks on the Louisiana side. The Toledo Bend area also features marinas, motels and launching ramps for its visitor’s convenience.”
