1954 photos of architecture in Fisher, Louisiana, including drawings of housing layouts for the mill workers in the sawmill village, once owned by Louisiana Longleaf Lumber Company. I got the information from McNeese State University’s library, from a 1954 dissertation by George Alvin Stokes, as part of his requirements for a Doctorate from LSU. The dissertation was entitled, LUMBERING IN SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA: A STUDY OF THE INDUSTRY AS A CULTURO-GEOGRAPHIC FACTOR #villageofisher #sawmilltown #lumbering
