I got the information from McNeese State University’s library, from a 1954 dissertation by George Alvin Stokes, as part of his requirements for a Doctorate from LSU. The dissertation was entitled, LUMBERING IN SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA: A STUDY OF THE INDUSTRY AS A CULTURO-GEOGRAPHIC FACTOR #villageofisher #sawmilltown #lumbering
