1963. An aerial view of the site where the Toledo Bend dam will be constructed across the Sabine River. WOW! Amazing to see this. So quiet and so still ... and soon to forever be changed and this spot, when dammed, will forever change the landscape of hundreds of thousands of acres of land as the waters of the Sabine River will create Toledo Bend Lake and form all new communities and open way for new subdivisions and businesses and so much in Louisiana and Texas.
