Happy reunion! Thanks to helpful community members and especially the help of the Many Police Department, “Pete,” a blue heeled/cur mix was reunited with his owner today. Pete disappeared last week from the front of Brookshires … His owner, Lane Lambert, had gone in the store to pick up some things and when he came out minutes later, Pete was gone. He was seen by an eyewitness being taken from the store by a woman.
Lane immediately offered a $100 reward, disturbed flyers and signs all over town, and filed a report with the police.
After getting a tip, The police located the whereabouts of Pete today and directed the person in possession of Pete to bring him to the police department. Lane was able to pick him up at that time, this afternoon.
Lane said he has been amazed, impressed and humbled by the support he has received from the local community and is incredibly thankful for the police department’s help. “Pete’s my boy… I don’t know what I would have done without him,” Lane said. “Everyone has been so helpful. This community is truly amazing.”
