A friend of ours has lost his dog and is in desperate hopes of finding him safe and well. Pete, a blue heeler/cur mix, was taken from the front of Brookshire’s grocery store in Many. His human, Lane, had run in to pick up some groceries as he has done many, many times, but this time Pete was not there when he came out of the store. Someone onsite said they saw Pete being coaxed to a vehicle by a young woman. Pete is around five years old, a neutered medium- to large-sized dog, grey with black spots and blue, blue eyes. He is Lane’s pet and friend, and equally important, he is on heartworm medication (he is in the midst of the lengthy and difficult heartworm treatment process). Lane would do anything for this dog, and Pete is his loyal companion.
