We found this sweet dog night before last like this. We had seen her in our neighborhood before but we weren’t sure who her owner was (animals tend to run loose where we live). She apparently had something very hot poured on her… In a horrible act of cruelty. And she has random scars throughout her body. Someone has or some ones have been awful to this girl, though she was as sweet as she could be. We brought her inside our house and cleaned her wounds as best as we were able to (she had so much blood and ooze and goop … it was so awful). We fed her and watered her and she fell asleep on my daughter’s arm… My daughter didn’t want to leave this dog alone after what she had endured so she eventually fell asleep too, sitting upright against the couch with the dog sleeping on her arm. I gave them a blanket and In the morning I found them both cuddled together on the floor. We brought the dog to the local shelter yesterday … Knowing the shelter will move mountains if thats what it takes to ensure this dog is adopted by a good person or couple or family. We checked on her yesterday afternoon and she had been treated by a vet for her injuries. We checked on her today and she is being treated so well at the shelter. She is being given lots of love and attention and she must be so happy. They let her hang with them in the office all day and they all said how wonderful she is… Sweet and well behaved. If anyone knows who did this to this dog (the dog lived in Fisher) please contact the shelter at 2562275. Some one should be held accountable. In the meantime I wish there weren’t so many mean people out there… This is an awful way to treat such a loving animal, or really to treat any living being, and a person who could behave this way absolutely needs to be held accountable.
